Happy Friendly Aire

This is a little gem of an Aire and we are so glad we found it! All too often these days, camp sites are too large and impersonal.
Vilamoura Rustic Aire is quite the opposite ... Anthea and Gerard work so hard! They offer delicious home cooked meals in their cafe (at very good value) .. coupled with quiz nights, cinema nights and outdoor barbecues. These events encourage guests to get together and have a really good time - and this is what travelling is all about! Don’t believe the few dishonest comments on certain websites - give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed! We will most certainly be regulars in years to come - in fact ... will be popping back next week (if they have space) 😊

Tracy and Roy, it was an absolute pleasure to have you here and you are always welcome. We have space and will keep the Braai Grill sizzling hot for you! Travel safe and see you when you pull in!

Happy Stay at Vilamoura Rustic Aire

We enjoyed our 5 night stay with you, especially our delicious meals in your cosy bar/restaurant, chatting to fellow campers and the opportunity to hire your car so that we could all, dogs included, do some sightseeing in the local area. There was good dog walking in the campo (we found two routes)around your safe, secure campsite with shower, toilet and laundry facilities available for campers to use. Your sunny hard standing pitches were good & firm, cleverly placed among the orange trees. Thank you Andrea & Gerard, we can see how hard you’ve worked to establish your site!
Hasta luego!

Wonderful, fantastic!

Second time in just under a year, and what a pleasant surprise! The site has changed so much, and everything for the better. We could not get enough of the new garden, meals el-fresco and open aire cinema... We had the most amazing time. Gerard & Anthea did so much to make this Aire a pleasure to visit and the improvements are appreciated. Well done to this pleasant couple.

We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves. We were thankful that you came to the open aire cinema as the first guests and we enjoyed ourselves as well. We spent so much time cultivating the garden, we forgot to enjoy it! Come again soon.

Portugal First Timers

My wife and I were delighted with every aspect of our week long stay with Gerard and Anthea. This Aires is one of the bset we have stayed on. Owners and clients alike, were very welcoming and friendly. Yes, you have to pay €1 for 50l of water and a 5 minute shower and if you are greedy with your electricity consumption, you will have to pay for additional usage ..... obviously 🙂

Anthea prepares and cooks superb meals in the Aires Cafe. Daily menus at €10 a head for two courses and a drink is superb value. We enjoyed several evenings at the cafe .

Gerard and Anthea also organise various activities for guests including quiz nights and film nights. If you go on a Sunday morning cycle ride with Gerard, try and get him back in time to peel the spuds for Sunday dinner or he will only feel the wrath of the Australian tongue that is Antheas 🙂

There are other sites that offer review opportunities. Sadly, some are written by some very nasty people. When I read them, I couldn't believe they were written about the same place and the same people.

We highly recommend a visit to Vilamoura Rustic Aires and will return in the future.

Thank you Gerard and Anthea 🙂

Graham & Sylvia, we enjoyed having you here and we built this aire for people like you. We welcome motorhomers that enjoy themselves and your sense of humour is fondly remembered. Anthea has promised to cook you your favourite fish when you return. We look forward to welcoming the three of you back on your next visit. Travel safe, Anthea & Gerard

Christmas & New Year

Thank you Anthea & Gerard for a great Christmas & New Year, we really enjoyed ourselves. You made us feel so welcome. The Christmas lunch was very enjoyable you both worked so hard to make it a success. We enjoyed all the entertainment you provided for us & the New Years Eve party was really good with lovely fireworks to celebrate the beginning of what we hope will be a very successful new year for all.
The BBQ the following day was a lovely day where we all gathered outside to enjoy the sunshine.
Thank you Anthea & Gerard for all your hard work which was much appreciated. Will most certainly recommend you & hope to see you again soon.

Wendy and Paul... You are model motorhomers and we were very pleased to have you stay with us. Thank you for the kind words and all your help and support, especially in difficult times. We look forward to welcoming you back. Travel safe. Gerard & Anthea

We enjoyed eleven days over the festive period, Gerrard & Anthea supplied everything we asked for without hesitation. Our Christmas Day lunch, New Years Eve party and New Years Day barbecue were superb and at times memorable.
It’s a new venture for them so get along and give them your support you’ll enjoy it.

Hi John and Terry. Thank you for your kind words and it was also our pleasure to have you here. You were great fun at the New Years Eve party and we look forward to having you back in the future.

Very nice site

Very nice, secure site, Gérard and Anthea very friendly and helpful, great hosts, we put our heater on Ehu and got a €21 bill for extra use, so ok for your fridge, but not heating. They do say extra over the limit will be charged, so my fault, just a tip to be aware. Great stay, met some great motorhomers, shower still not working in early December. They are trying hard to get finished, very new site, will have a great atmosphere when some long-term stays are there.
